Dear Sufferer,
You are a conquerer. You woke up today with breath in your lungs and purpose written all over your life. You are not the sum of your doubts, your failures, your illnesses, or your struggles. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Dear Sufferer,
You are not alone. I know the days are long and the nights are longer, but you are surrounded by people who get it.
And I don't mean 'get it' like someone who responds to you and tries to relate to your suffering. I mean people who actually get it and know not to say those words as a response to the pain you are feeling. People who are struggling every single day to take steps forward because of how challenging life is. People who are abused and use all of their energy fighting thoughts of suicide and worthlessness. People who feel paper thin.
Dear Sufferer,
Tough situations don't last, but tough people do. You are not going to feel this way forever. You are not going to feel worthless and defeated every single day you wake up. It may take time, but I promise you it is so, so worth it. I've been there. Most days I am still there. And I am so grateful for a God who walks with me every single step of the way.
Dear Sufferer,
Don't give up. Hold on just a bit longer. God has a plan for you that you can't even imagine. God is using you for His kingdom as we speak. You might feel like giving up on God right now... don't. God is not giving up on you, even if you feel abandoned.
Dear Sufferer,
You've got this.
Signed,
A Sufferer
